Reading: A Novel Concept--You are my hero Shelley!

Feedback from Sanderson: I didn't even realize what I had written (title) until I went to proof my spelling. Sounds like a great name for a book, yes????

I ALSO HAVE AN E-ZINE: THE DIVA NEWS

Hi there.

I spent 20 plus years as a singer and actress, mostly in LA. But in order to pay the rent, so to speak, I also worked at various day time jobs. Most notably, as secretary to the following people: a film producer, a rep. theatre artistic director, the head of a multi cultural arts group and the president of a major record company (all of this in the 70s and 80s). I had a baby girl in 1991 and moved from LA to San Diego.

When I was in LA I loved singing the national anthem for the LA Lakers, LA Kings, LA Angels and the LA Dodgers. Good times! Those were the days....

Since moving to San Diego I met self-help author and guru Louise L. Hay and became her personal assistant in 1998, and I'm still there! Besides tending to her personal needs, I also write and edit her column, Dear Louise, and her Louise Hay newsletter, as well as update her websites, louisehay.com and hayfoundation.org.

I've never considered myself a writer but once I started to write about being an assistant, I was surprised at how much writing I currently do in my job. I just never thought of myself that way.

My book, DEALING WITH DIVAS, is about taking a positive approach to working with difficult people. I offer proven tools to make your working life better, and talk about divas and tell some stories.

I hope people enjoy this little book. I think the ideas are sound and I've personally used them in my life and worked with many other assistants who have used them with success. I am a membef of the ACPA - Association of Celebrity Personal Assistants - and that group has been wonderful comfort in the midst of the storm. Check them out at www.acpa-la.com.
