About Me

About Me:
Welcome! Thanks for visiting.

I'm sure you’ve determined, given where we are, that I'm a writer; well, an “In there plugging” writer better sums me up.

My first book, The Tenderfoot’s Guide to Family Camping, was published in 1999 to some wonderful reviews.

My second, The Paramedic, came out last year, also to some great reviews. It was a definite change in genre, but fun and interesting to say the least.

I am currently working on a middle age, coming of age without grace collection of short stories that I hope to publish in May of this year, (if I don't end up in the Guinness Book for the most shock therapy sessions during the writing of a single novel).  A few of the stories are posted here and on my website.

If I were to brag on myself just a little, I would have to say in all sincerity that my new book is sure to please. If you're approaching forty, in your forties or, like some of us, celebrating your’ twenty-ninth birthday for the eighteenth time, this book will have you in stitches. If you can’t laugh at yourself, you’ll wind up heavily medicated and sitting at bus stops, drooling, as you recite naughty poetry to passing motorists. Aging may not be desirable, but it sure beats the alternative.

I have been published in various magazines, websites and on numerous bathroom walls.

I live in South Carolina and I’m the father of two beautiful children.

Enjoy life to the fullest. You never know how much of it you have left.

You can read more of my stories on my website: www.bgreenleaf.com

Portfolio Description:
Here's a sample of but a few of the stories included in my upcoming, coming of "middle" age book. Barring any unforeseen disasters, (which seem to plague me daily), the book should be available in the June/July 2008 time frame.

Enjoy.

Abstract: Steamy, hot sex and a gripping, totally believable storyline make up this heart-wrenching tale of love lost and lives shattered.

After a devastating divorce, Doc had all but given up on life. His friends and his work were his only connection to the world outside his apartment.

Kim was a lonely grad student. She, too, was no stranger to divorce; cast off by the man she trusted and thought would love her forever.

Their close proximity and a medical emergency brought them together.
Can their new found passion sustain them?

Reviews:
"I've read and reviewed a great many erotic romances in my career, but "The Paramedic" truly took me totally by surprise. This story has all the elements necessary to make it erotica, (and then some), but it's the realism of this story and the very authentic characters that sets it apart. I honestly couldn't put this one down. Greenleaf's writing is so smooth and detailed that each character had a face and a personality etched in my mind. I honestly had the feeling that I was right there with Doc and his friends. Keep an eye on the best sellers lists; I'd bet this one makes it to the top. The Paramedic is contemporary erotic romance at its' very essence. Five Stars! Turn up the air conditioning. This book is steaming.

"This was actually an excellent story. The feelings one might have after a divorce; the disappointment in having your spouse not be the person you thought he or she might be, the lack of trust one might develop in the aftermath of such emotional pain. The author writes in a particularly fluid manner; very eloquent, and with lots of humor. But the central core, I felt, of this tale is about a group of friends who care very much for each other, their relationships inside that group (and that includes indulging in some wild hot sex), and the importance of those friends in one's life. Survival has a lot to do with being able to share unhappiness and knowing you have friends who care about your well being. A must for all readers enjoying a good relationship story."

"And a note: It was very interesting reading about just what a Nurse Paramedic does, and the experiences involved, I must add, with some so very sad. Have a box of tissues near at hand. You'll need them more than once."

"A truly engrossing story of love and hot sex with just a hint of medical fetishism that grabs the reader and locks them in for an unbelievable roller-coaster ride through the trials and tribulations of a totally loveable, extremely believable Paramedic. Greenleaf wrote a winner here, certain to become a best seller. Keep some tissue on the nightstand. This one is a true tear jerker."

This book blew me away! I saw the review on The Romance Studio siite and thought I'd give it a try. I couldn't put it down. It started like the typical romance, but that's where the comparison ends. The characterization was vividly amazing. I envisioned faces to go with the characters immediately and fell in love with poor Doc right off the bat. The sex scenes were unbelievable, yet totally believable. A little too believable in some of them. This is definately not a typical romance novel. I'd call it high brow erotica and extremely well written. The ending really floored me. Totally unexpected. I'd highly recommend this book to everyone, (old enough, that is). Fantastic! I agree with the review. Have a box of tissues on hand. I can't wait for the next book.
