Randy, I really enjoyed Why Atlas Shrugged. Very existential. The ending gave me a good chuckle. Great work, my man.
Feedback from MrDaMan: LOL and TY PMac, the ending surprised me too. One of those pieces that just sorta fell together... rather than apart. heheh

Hey my friend, The Box, don't we all have to conform to society's wishes since we make up part of society? Any attempt at living outside the box and you'll be labeled an outcast. So are we crammed inside or outside looking in? I love your philosophical view. Keep up the good work.
Feedback from MrDaMan: Ha Don't box me in! Good to see you again amigo TY

I love BGK! Especially:
I am not Bukowski but I've seen the bottom of a bottle.

Wow. I wish I'd written that line.
Feedback from MrDaMan: Thank you Calliope, it truly is a lens to another world, err variation of reality.

I knew you were a softy. You sound like a tortured Libra walking the tightrope of balance.
Loved it......trip......ooopps where did you land?
Put down the sticks. They just ain't keeping me away.
Hey perhaps they were subliminal after all.
love and hugs

Feedback from MrDaMan: A Capricorn actually, scrabbling on the rocks climbing the mountain, making SURE not to fall. Great sense of balance but peeing in the wind all the time. XOXO right back!

It's All True:

I wonder if it's all true - if that is the real you or you're just making it up as you go along. This is certainly a moving piece and (true or not) a well-done look deep within. I like it a lot.
Feedback from MrDaMan: Thank you Charles, it is AND it isn't. Honest poetry has to draw from the truth but then it also has to be exaggerated to be entertaining.
So ... Yes .... and .... No

Tick, Tick, Tock....the video was on stutter for me but I filled in your voice and read it.
Very nice and tres melancholy. I'm into the blues today.
I hope it is a great New Year for us all.

Tick, Tick, Tock...this one rocks! (okay, that was lame coming from me. I can see my son rolling his eyes) How 'bout brilliant! Yeah, I like that better.

My favorite line...
The bones of our ancestors,
yesterday’s sand in our craw
embracing us with what’s left of theirs…

Feedback from MrDaMan: Thank you Calliope Happy New Year M'Lady may you and yours roll your rocks in comfort.

About Me

About Me:
As a kid I wanted to be a writer and got a type writer but couldn’t figure out what to write. I would stare at a blank sheet of paper and go humm. I learned how to type in high school and in my tweens my roommates would laugh because when I got upset or angry they would know, due to the sound of the clacking keyboard emanating from my room.

I actually got paid 35 dollars once for an article on paintball in a sports magazine. I once had a full length article published in a local beach newspaper on politics and several letters to the editor in the San Diego Tribune.

I have the curse of enjoying philosophical political debate and will write from time to time opinion pieces. But for the most part I often just write short prose pieces on philosophical perspectives. It could be about anything, I’ve been told I have a knack for sentiment writing but I haven’t a clue how to go about pursuing that professionally.

Other than creative writing in high school and Jr. College I have no formal training, that’s usually enough for editors to ignore me. I write because I like too, it helps clarify and define my thoughts, if that’s all I get out of it. So be it.
