Feedback from Heather1: LOL!

Boy what a question... I would probably become a jelly fish if someone said that they would represent my work (not that that is apt to happen...)
Feedback from Heather1: Don't sell yourself short! You can accomplish anything you put your mind to! And yeah, one does become a bit of a jellyfish at first

Agree w/you about airport book stores, Heather. Also, thanx for the many tips you're providing us. I need to get more into other types of lit. Will return again as time allows.
Feedback from Heather1: You bet, I'm glad they helped!

Hey congratulations on having more than one person want to read your work!
Feedback from Heather1: Thanks so much. My first book certainly wasn't this way. I guess practice makes perfect, or something like that! It's probably more a combo of timing and luck!

Publishing ???

If you do enough research on the house or agent you will it time find a home for your work.

It is not uncommon for publication to take up to one year after submission.

Good luck

Feedback from Heather1: So true, thanks! The wait is frustrating but it can turn out to be well worth it in the end.

A god complex? If a writer does possess such a thing, then it would certainly be the field in which to act out an overwhelming need for absolute control. Personally, when a character that I have installed in a plot becomes mature enough, I sometimes lose control over him/her. I suppose the greatest amount of power that I have in a novel or short story comes from the fact that I begin with an ending and move toward that ending. What happens in between a tentative start and that inflexible ending comes from somewhere else. Imagination? Personal experience? Channeling? I really don't know and would be afraid to speculate.
Feedback from Heather1: I love that idea, to begin with an ending. An excellent way to write!

A short description about your blog:

When I decided I wanted to do this for a living I had a lot of questions and unfortunately had a lot of trouble finding the answers. What follows are some of my experiences in writing and working on getting published. Hopefully it will help answer some of those questions for other writers. As I get closer to getting published I won't be able to visit AN as much. Please check my personal blog for more recent updates and posts at: http://heathermccorkle.blogspot.com/
