About Me
| My name is Lindsey. I am an avid reader and I'm addicted to writing. As far back as I can remember I have been penning short stories and poems. At age thirteen I actually self published a novel. It is titled Dream Chaser and it's about a young girl who travels back in time to meet her superstar crush before he becomes famous. As I have grown, I have emerged from writing teen lit and advanced to writing romance. I both write and read historical and paranormal/fantasy romance novels. To date I have three completed novels, one of which is the first book in a three part series. I am currently working on several projects. One is of course the second book in my series, but I have also started up a blog to connect with fellow writers and to help those I can with knowledge already gleaned. On a different note, I am reading my heart out on publication and promotion so that when my series is complete and I begin to send in manuscripts to literary agents, I will be ready for everything thrown at me and I can sell, sell, sell and connect with readers which is the best part (aside from the actual writing)! | I am a fan of both Shana Abe and Teresa Medeiros. They are the authors I look up to the most. Other authors I read are J.K. Rowling, Christpher Paolini, Sabrina Jeffries, Stephanie Laurens, Lucy Blue and many more. Honestly just about anything that is marked Historical Romance I will read! |

My Bookstore
My blog, http://thewritewords-lindsey.blogspot.com/, is a place for budding authors. The site is where I am capturing my journey to becoming a published author. As the site is still new, I plan on adding helpful hints that I myself have found useful. Also I am adding links to websites with great resources for authors or readers. In honor of writers block, I'm adding a weekly column to expand your writing vocabulary. Sometimes when I see a really good descriptive word, I can construct a whole sentence around it, and just that one sentance can crack the code on writers block, plus it's just fun to learn something new! |
