About Me

About Me:
N'cha! (my anime-way of saying "Hi")

I'm an aspiring novelist in my senior year of high school and have been writing for the past six years, since the seventh grade.  My current WIP is a six-book, fantasy/sci-fi series that I've titled as "The World Hero Race" Series, based on my early childhood dream of saving the world.  It might sound corny already, but many of my readers have begun to think otherwise. It is more of a hilarious twist to a superhero's life-style, with a lot of action and exciting plot twists.

I'm currently revising most of it, since my writing style seems to improve every time I write.  The only flaws in my writing is grammar and word-usage.  I'm not very good at detecting grammatical errors in my writing, so feel free to point those out or anything else once I start posting the chapters. I've posted some of my series on other sites, but haven't gotten a lot of hits or feedback on it (with the exception of deviantART), so I'm hoping to receive some more critiques and readers here.

Besides writing, I also enjoy reading a lot of fantasy, which is my favorite genre out of all the fiction sub-categories.  I've been passionate about fantasy since I was little, and have many of my favorite fantasy authors as my role models.  I know so much about the genre that I'm considered to be a "fantasy freak" to my friends.  I can recite almost anything about fantasy, whether it is creatures, worlds, books, characters, etc.

My other hobbies include videogames, anime/manga, drawing, camping/ATV-riding.  I'm hoping to get into a college/university that offers studies in both Creative Writing and Animation, so I can succeed as a fantasy author and an animator.  I've had some experience in the Creative Writing course at my current high school, and hopefully next semester when I start the second half of the course, I can post some of my other non-series, non-fantasy work up here.

Bye'cha!

My Bookshelf

What's on my bookshelf:
I have so many books that I haven't even started yet...because of all my other life commitments. But lets see how many books/series I can remember....

~Artemis Fowl Series, by Eoin Colfer: I absolutely adore this series.  I can practically name all the 10 different fantasy creatures that pop in the books.
~Harry Potter Series, by J. K. Rowling: No fantasy shelf is complete without Harry Potter! *laughs*
~Inheritance Cycle, by Christopher Paolini: The youngest author on my shelf, with his famous fantasy series with magic and dragons galore! Not to mention, dragons are my #1 favorite fantasy creature of all time.  *giggles blissfully while clinging to dragon*
~Pendragon Series, by D. J. Machole: I haven't finished this series yet...there's so many books!
~The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S.Lewis: I only read the prequel to the series, but I've been watching the movies...and I have to regret of not reading the other books.
~The Hobbit, and The Lord of The Rings, by J.R.R.Tolkien: Who cannot love Tolkien? I find him to be a genius at the written word, and the master of the fantasy genre!
~Evil Genius, by Catherine Jinks: I've recently finished this one.  It has a Artemis Fowl-ish theme to it, only much more darker, and shows how some geniuses can be really messed up.
~Farenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury: I don't have this on my shelf, but I had to read it for school one time, and it turned out to be my favorite sci-fi story.  And Ray Bradbury himself was at Comic-Con last summer!  I believe he's up there on the list with Tolkien, of the most famous/well-known fiction writers of all time...

....That's all I can remember for right now. I'll update this when I read some more.

Portfolio Description:
I'm geared toward writing about fantasy and fiction, so most of my work from my series will be in those areas. But since I've taken half of Creative Writing at my school (I'm taking the other half next semester), I'll also be posting some of my general writing assignments from that class as well. :D

Storefront: Disasters.......death.......turmoil......evil....
Even in the 21st century, innocent lives are dying.......and so is the world.
This is what we try to protect, to prevent these catastrophes.
This is why we exist......and this is our goal.

We are World Heroes.  To protect the world...because we are the only ones who can.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Twelve-year-old Amy Johnson isn’t a normal girl…..although she acts a little too immature compared to her talent.  With the ability of supernatural magical powers, she’s a well-known World Hero who is part of an organization called the World Hero Race, composed of pre-teens who are in training to protect the world from disaster.  As a high ranking Leader and a Novice, Amy is in charge of running the San Diego World Hero Club, one of the Race’s numerous Clubs that are located throughout the world.  For her, the job of protecting the world seemed to be too easy....or, so she thought.

Thirteen-year-old Ludevec Durevic isn’t exactly normal either.  Little by little, Amy and her friends figure out what makes him so abnormal.  His use of advanced technology, the complex schemes, even his spider-like minions, all point to the same thing: a child genius.  But that's not the only thing queer about him.  What does he really  want with Amy? And why is he after her and the World Hero Race...? It's going to take all the little brainpower Amy has in her air-headed mind to figure him out, and to thwart every move he throws....before he thwarts her.  But maybe a genius can miscalculate someone too much, especially when they have the only magical talent on Earth...
