My name is Dave and I moved to Alaska several years ago from the "lower 48". I don't really live in Fairbanks but that is the closest human settelment that anyone would recognize. I actualy live about 70 miles north where there are no power poles or water mains. All power must be generated, all water must be gathered, even at 40 below zero. It's a great life though, and I highly recommend it. Living out there makes a person realize that we truly are in the palm of Gods hand. |
