Tom- I'm so sorry about your mom's passing. I know there are no words to ease how you must be feeling, but know that you and your mom are in many peoples' thoughts and prayers. Your story has reminded me that I don't do enough with, or for my mom. Again, I'm so sorry.
Feedback from tcdangers: Thanks Brian. Life is way too short. I am happy to say, though, that my family and I have no regrets. We were always there for one another and showed each other that we loved one another each day through action.

Tom,

I hope everything goes well for your Mom. Saying I'm sorry seems so inadequate. I lost a mom and stepmon to the evil of cancer. If you need to talk my friend, I'm a good listener. Hang on to hope...Alan
Feedback from tcdangers: Thanks Alan. Cancer is an evil disease indeed. It runs rampant in my family too.

I just finished reading My Little Girl is Dead and it made me cry. June 30, 2009 I also had to put my cat to sleep. His name was Dawson and he was 11 years old. I'd had him since 1998. He had developed a blood clot and was left paralyzed. The vet said it was the only humane thing to do, but I still feel like I betrayed him and gave up on him. I miss him.
Feedback from tcdangers: You did not betray him in any way. You were strong, and you did what was right. As much as it hurt you, just remember you did the best for your four-legged friend. It hurts, though, I know....

Abstract:
Sandwiched between obnoxious coworkers who reek of burnt popcorn and cheap perfume, Michael O’Donnell is a short step away from a total meltdown. Recently promoted in a career that is destroying him, Michael escapes the stress of his nightmarish world by embarking on a self-destructive journey through Philadelphia’s sexual underground.

As his dangerous behavior takes him through Philadelphia strip clubs and massage parlors, all the way to swingers resorts and nude beaches, Michael is forced to confront a darkness he has harbored for years, one that will release a hatred and a quest for vengeance. It is this realization that can either save him from future misery or swallow him whole.

Darkly comic, extremely raw, and unexpectedly poignant, Burnt Popcorn And Cheap Perfume chronicles one man’s quest to escape not only a career that is driving him insane but also his growing addiction and his thirst for vengeance against the father who brutally betrayed him.
