Hey Cristina,
You are very welcome.
Yes I have had poems disappear a few times. I haven't been on in over a week and quite frankly am not sure if anything is missing in the line of poems. I did receive emails that comments were posted that aren't here though. Must be a glitch in the system.

The Last Party, that tore at my heart. Reminded me of visits with my Aunt Betty. She's dancing in heaven now.

Feedback from FirkinFiction: Thank you for your kind words about "The Last Party" Deborah. This poem was for my grandmother and the memories of her memory fading are very close to my heart.

Blessings,
Cristina

P.S. Quick question I just had at least 2 poems disappear from my profile that I posted last week. Have you ever had that happen? Weird.

Here's to magical messes and all the dreams that are formed because a mother loved her children more than tidiness.

Feedback from FirkinFiction: Thank you, Deborah. I agree - imagination comes before tidiness. It helps to have the support of other down-to-earth moms. And hey - at least my week of attempting spring cleaning inspired a poem.

Best,
Cristina

Christina "It's all in The Details" is magic. You point out those details that can elevate one out of the mundane and depressing - to those little things that for me make every moment special - thank you.
Hugs,
Maggie
Feedback from FirkinFiction: Thank you so much, Maggie, for reading my poem "It's All in the Details" and for reflecting on the life of the poem. I would love to take a walk around the lake every day. I think it would make me appreciate and savor each moment more.

Blessings to you,
Cristina

"It's All in the Details" Yes; bread baking is one of my favorite smells, too. This was a wonderful walk around the lake with a lot of mixed ponderances. Thank you and Welcome Back!

Feedback from FirkinFiction: Thank you, Deborah! I have forgotten how inspiring it can be to have other writers give support and feedback. I've been away from AN too long, and need to catch up. Thank you again! Hope you are well.

Best,
Cristina

Cristina, where have you been? Oh, i know I just read "You Vs. the Future" and totally understand. We've missed you.
Feedback from FirkinFiction: Hi Dev, I've been busy with my family and writing and such. I've missed chatting with my fellow writers here on AN too! Hope you are doing well, Dev. I'll try to post and comment more. Maybe the summer will feel less busy ... but then again with kids, it will get more busy, right? LOL

Blessings to you!
Cristina

Price: $12.13
ISBN#: 978-0-9796733-1-3
Buy it Here: Amazon.com
Abstract: THE RED DRUM is a collection of poems celebrating the joyfulness of living in the presence of authentic moments ~ creating a dream-like, poetic form to capture the leaves of thought that fall from the sky. In The Red Drum, Wisconsin author Cristina M. R. Norcross writes about the sacred, every day moments that bring us joy, while reflecting on what makes the soul search for philosophical answers to modern living. Inspired by the beauty of landscapes, nature, visual art, music, parenthood, faith and the creative process itself, Ms. Norcross sheds light on why we need to strive for more out of life than just the external or temporal. Beneath the stunning cover of a black backdrop and an exquisite, stained glass window, are poems with questions for every searching soul.

Title: Unsung Love Songs
Price: $14.00
ISBN#: 978-0557235285
Buy It Here: Amazon
Abstract: Unsung Love Songs follows a poetic journey through romantic love, familial love, universal love, as well as acceptance and love of the self. The main emphasis of this collection is romantic love. The first flush of romance always involves fireworks, flowers and much swooning. This initial burst of passion is just the beginning. What happens when couples have families and they collect anniversaries too numerous to count? If you are fortunate enough to find true love and keep it, then it is the moments of constancy, humor and co-existing that make up an enduring partnership. This collection of poems celebrates the quiet, every day moments of love and how the recognition of this deep, abiding calmness can be the heart's biggest flourish of all. (Painting on cover by artist, Dint Sweitzer, "The Dancers.") Cristina M. R. Norcross is the author of Land & Sea: Poetry Inspired by Art (2007), The Red Drum (2008) and Unsung Love Songs (2010).
