Pastor denied food and water , it is so wrong that those who are supposed to protect and heal could starve someone to death. God only knows what he was truly aware of. I once heard a doctor tell my family I was resting peacefully and I most certainly wasn't.

I decided to test the system with a variety of styles I write in. 4 for William Gibson, 3 for David Foster, 3 for Margaret Atwood, 1 for Margaret Mitchell, 2 for James Fenimore Cooper, 1 for Stephenie Meyer, 1 for James Joyce, 1 for Lewis Carroll and 1 for Raymond Chandler. While I doubt I could compare with any of these authors I did notice each style I wrote in always went back to the same authors. Interesting they have a program that can pick up the "feel" of our pieces.
thanks so much for sharing and nice to "see" you again.

ps, it seems I have more male writing traits than female, interesting that I raised by men
Feedback from Aries C: Glad you enjoyed it, Deborah. Yep, it's a funny program. I tried the two different pieces, neat how it comes up with different answers. Like I said to Lia, maybe a keyword thing, who knows?

Who do you write like...fun! I write like David Foster Wallace. I thought who in the hell is that. Looked him up, found some new books to read. But still, I've never heard of him before, guess that doesn't say much about my writing.
Feedback from Aries C: Ya, it's fun. I think it might pick up the keywords and assign style? Glad you found some new reads.

Yes, the rock, one day.
It sounds like we had a similar day and yes Paul had a great day.
He looked out the office window the other day and said, it's beautiful isn't it.
Both our families are enjoying the fruits of our labors it seems.
Our son, a horticulturist, took a basket from flowers from Paul's mother's funeral and planted in it an arrangement for a garden bench. She is smiling down I am sure.

Weeds of Bitterness, Flowers of Compassion. Isn't it funny how we all see things differently and some days we ourselves sees things in different ways.
I hope you had a nice Father's day at your house.

Feedback from Aries C: In the early am I sit out back and have a cup of coffee. It has taken three years of patience, love, trial and error, hard work and faith to create this beautiful garden. That quote reminded me of this. And yes, from day to day we are emotionally cast about on the wind. One day to be the rock, standing quietly with consistent patience and compassion. Father's day was busy, and he enjoyed himself. Hope your hubby had a great one!
Blessings
Sharon

About Me

About Me:

Get out there and live, that's life!

Basil the Great

"[A]void the nonsense of those arrogant philosophers who do not blush to liken their soul to that of a dog, who say that they have themselves formerly been women, shrubs, or fish. Have they ever been fish? I do not know, but I do not fear to affirm that in their writings they show less sense than fish" (The Six Days’ Work 8:2 [A.D. 393]).

I have been guilty of this type of nonsense myself. Oneday I shall be better than a fish!

"Each reader needs to bring his or her own mind and heart to the text."
Dean Koontz

This is me, all of me and nothing but me, so help me...OK scratch that idea. I'll leave out a few sordid details for future discovery.

I've been writing for pleasure since I was a child and recently completed an accredited college course titled "Short Story Writing". Academia graciously tipped it's hat and granted me a  GPA of 4.0.That and a few other things confirmed the suspicions that have whispered in the back of my brain for years - you should be writing - I'm finally listening.

Currently I'm working on the third and final novel in a trilogy that began several years ago. The stories are primarily dark fantasy/supernatural, mixed with a generous dash of conspiracy. I devote most of my time to editing, fine tuning and getting these stories into a publishable state, but always allow a few hours in the early morning to write something new.

Throughout the month of November I participated in the NanoWrimo 50K novel writing contest. It was a blast and I recommend it to anyone who wants to get in the habit of writing regularly each day. Although my final 12,000 words were actually written in a little over three days. I love deadlines!
