Writers, published authors and book lovers world-wide can enjoy the FREE features available at AuthorNation.com.

• Profile page - Tell us about yourself, your writing, published books and favorite genres and share your voice with other members and site visitors. Post photos, book cover images, videos, and writing entries to your profile and exchange comments and feedback with other members.
• Writing Portfolio - Use your portfolio as a personal blog to post thoughts or talk about your favorite books and authors.  If you are a writer or published author, your Portfolio may be used to showcase your writing, poems, book excerpts, new works and more. Furthermore, you can control when your entry is ready to be published on the site and who is allowed to view it! Settings can be changed at any time.
  
• Published - This setting will immediately publish your entry on the site and in your Portfolio tab.
• Unpublished - This setting allows only you to view your entry. This is a useful setting for works in progress so they may be published when complete.
• Archived - Entries containing announcements or time-sensitive information may be archived rather than deleted.  This is also a useful setting if you wish to showcase older works that may not coincide with your current writing style but still wish to make it available for others to read.
  
• Photo Galleries - Upload book covers, author head shots, and candid photos to any of our 4 main galleries - Book Covers, Author Portraits, Book Events or Friends & Fun. Photos that you upload also appear on your profile page.  Post comments and reviews on member photos. Sort photos by most popular, recently added or most commented.  Edit, add and delete your photos at any time.
• Videos - Stream videos right on your profile from some of the most popular video providers on the internet such as YouTube, Google Video and iFilm.  You can edit, add, or delete videos at any time.  Post comments and ratings to member videos or have members rate and comment on yours.  You can also decide whether or not to allow commenting and rating for your individual videos.
• Forum Posts - Manage and track your subscriptions to forum threads and view every post you ever made right from your profile page. By subscribing to a thread, you will receive an email notification every time a post is made to it so you can keep up with your favorite discussions.  You may subscribe and unsubscribe to threads at any time.
• Visitors - View the last 10 members to have visited your profile page and how many times they stopped by.  Send a welcome message or invite visiting members to join your Readers Network.
• Profile Bookstore - Do you have a published book for sale through an online retailer? Showcase your published book(s) right on your profile page.  Authors can showcase up to 10 books complete with title, price, isbn#, abstract, reviews, and a link to your online retailer.
• Readers/Peer Network - Build an intimate network of readers and peers for editorial input and support, or simply make friends who share your passion for writing, books and reading.  Manage your networked readers and peers by tagging them according to genre and maintain private notes and comments on your networked members.
• Profile Comments - You may allow members to post comments, feedback and reviews directly to your profile page.  You control which comments you would like to publish or keep private.  Enjoy posting replies to the comments you receive!
• Forum - Our forum is a place for writers and reading enthusiasts to get inspired, seek advice, or become part of the daily buzz on a variety of book industry topics.  Join an active discussion or start your own!
• Critique Workshop - Are you writing a book or just want to improve your skills? Post a sample in our Critique Workshop and get detailed feedback and reviews from members.
• Growing Library - Experience the pleasure of having an endless library of items to read from - spanning every genre imagineable.  Break the mold of traditional bookstores and explore writing from today's trendsetting internet authors.
